Firstly we wish to apologise for our misspelling of Cajón throughout the site. We have done this deliberately to assist people searching for a Cajón but who do not have an accent on their keyboard. We have thus spelled it Cajon in most of the text.
The DG Cajon is played sitting on top of it, striking the front face. On the top edge, the sound is sharp and high, while the centre about three inches down from the edge gives a warm bass tone. The Cajon can be used in virtually any acoustic setting, and amplified it sounds awesome. A drum kit as a box.
SweetSpot Cajon
Now in production, this is loosely based
on Paola's 'Kiyo' model Cajón and is aimed at customers wanting
a high-quality product at an affordable cost.
The circular frontal design
is based on a Crop Circle discovered in the UK in 2008, the position on
the drum identifying the playing area for bass tones which can
produce more appealing sonics, and the design itself employed in
context to represent two disparate yet connected forces of Nature -
rhythms of the Earth and the sculpted landscape.
